Replace Firmware Chinese version to World Wide version Asus Zenfone 5

Hello Everyone, i just give you some info for Zenfone 5 user that yesterday desperate bought Asus Zenfone 5 from overseas. most of buyer will get Asus Zenfone 5 with Chinese firmwares, it can be look at

Setting -> About Information -> Build Number

ASUS_T00F_CN_user_1_15_40_20_xxxxx_xxx

definitely on confused, Playstore is gone, no G-Apps, and  it cannot installed manually. G-Apps ( Maps, gmail, playstore, play music etc) if installed must be force close, isnit?


im one of buyer that get Chinese CN firmwares, and i have replaces the firmwares to WW (world Wide) rom (to get playstore / G-Apps installed)


Below the Steps

1. Download the firmware in here
2. Extract the download file and get the zip file
3. Rename the zip file as the rom earlier ( in that case,  CN Rom will be replaces with WW ROM), so just rename that extracted file WW to CN
4. Connect your Devices to PC using USB cable, then copy downloaded file (firmware) that has been rename to root folder ( dont put in the folder anywhere or create folder itself )
5. Disconnect the usb cable, see screen on your device, if you see triangle mark( update notification), running that app, wait that process.
6. If updated, for the next update just download WW Rom without need to rename to CN anymore, just download, extract , copy

Just info, after use this method, your device cannot update OTA, but must be manually

download file now
